About Us

Bais Ohr and Bnos Ohr were established in 2020 with the primary objective of providing personalized education to children who struggle in the general and systematic education settings.  The small classroom sizes and 3:1 staff/student ratio ensure a supportive learning environment, with individualized academic and behavioral support. 

Our program offers a comprehensive curriculum that includes both Limudei Kodesh and general education, while fostering the development of behavioral, communication, and social skills. Our primary goal is to give the students the education and life skills that they will require to function as  productive members of society in their respective environment. We also maintain a goal to mainstream students to general education settings by equipping them with the necessary social and behavioral skills.

Our 1st-2nd grade class is located in a self-contained classroom at ASHAR Elementary School, which allows our students to interact with all other ASHAR students during lunch and recess and to integrate with their classes during co-curricular activities, highly enhancing their social skills.

Our older boys and girls classes share a building with Ohr V'Daas, enabling us to utilize academic, social, and behavioral support from their professional team. It also conveniently offers and provides additional services such as Speech, O.T., P.T., Counseling, and Behavior support.

Additionally, we offer a 1:1 student ratio for a portion of the day, where individualized behavior, social, and communication goals can be addressed. An individualized treatment plan is created and monitored through data collection by a Behavior consultant. Once the skill is mastered, we teach our students to generalize the mastered skills to other settings.
